The Standish

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, NY

Nestled in the heart of Brooklyn Heights, a historic New York neighborhood, lies a classic residence with a rich past. Originally built in 1903 as the Standish Arms Hotel, this architectural gem has been transformed into 29 charming apartments.

Our clients, a high-profile NBA coach and his entrepreneurial wife, were in need of a home in a matter of weeks. To meet their urgent needs, we provided comprehensive services that started with apartment selection within this remarkable building to help them find their ideal apartment, ensuring that their new home perfectly suited their lifestyle.

For this particular project, our design approach was heavily influenced by the building’s Beaux Arts-style architecture. We sought to create a seamless blend of traditional, mid-century, and modern design elements that reflects the passage of time in a cohesive narrative, while maintaining a fresh, inviting atmosphere.

Despite the tight deadline, we were able to complete the entire project in just three months, from selection to design, renovation, and finally move-in coordination.
