Central Park West Penthouse

Manhattan, NYC

“Perched gracefully on the 16th and 17th floors of one of Central Park West’s prestigious pre-war cooperatives, this penthouse duplex presents an unparalleled level of luxury and refinement. The building, nestled at the corner of 66th Street, offers a timeless backdrop for a residence that commands breathtaking views of Central Park and the iconic Manhattan skyline.” Ryan Serhant

This project was focused on creating a home for a dynamic family of four that would satisfy their need for both comfort and functionality while reflecting their active lifestyle. The goal was to design a space that was aesthetically pleasing and balanced the expansive city views with a sense of intimacy and family.

To achieve this, the common areas were infused with Italian & French mid-century classic furniture silhouettes and vintage European lighting, which, mixed with subtle pops of blue, created an energetic and inviting atmosphere.

The end result is a home that harmoniously blends chic sophistication and practical livability – a testament to the ability to create spaces that are both beautiful and functional and tailored to the unique needs of the clients.

The custom DeGournay wallcovering along the stairway is a focal point that sets the tone for the whole space.

The private spaces, like the bedrooms and bathrooms, feature a more subdued palette to foster a sense of tranquility and relaxation.

“Chris Roughan created this fabulous bedroom, offering a tranquil escape from the bustling city below. The project focused on elevating the primary suite with a custom designed fireplace around, bespoke furnishings and carefully curated art, creating a serene retreat, framed by enviable views of Central Park.” At Home Magazine, November 2024
